Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) Phase II was launched in April 2020 to achieve ODF Plus status in all the villages with objectives to Sustain the ODF status of the villages and Improve cleanliness in rural areas through solid and liquid waste management. Under Solid waste management it is quite essential that the plastic waste should be managed more judiciary and effective. As an essential step state developed the mobile application for managing waste and keeping inventory. This app is developed by P&RD department, Government of Madhya Pradesh to manage the plastic waste, MAP-IT is the supporting technical agency. Expected users are: • Self Help Groups (SHGs) • Village level facilitator • Sachiv and GRS (PRI) • District and Block Coordinators • MRF Manager and other supporting agencies State has goal to developed Material Recovery Facility in each district of the state to recover and process the non-compostable solid waste material including plastic waste collected by the village panchayats.
